When reviewing locations exceptions in your account there are three reasons that a location exception could be triggered. The most common reason would be that the punch was made outside of that specific location's geofence. For some location exceptions, you may see messages such as "No Device Location" or "No GPS/Beacon". This article will review what those informational messages mean.

"No Device Location"

This is in reference to the actual device and the device's permissions. Most likely if you see this error, the device that the punch came from is not capturing the device's location, it is perhaps due to the Findd app permissions on the device. This can be resolved within the device settings.

"No GPS/Beacon"

This is in reference to the location or level of the hierarchy where the employee punched. If the employee punches to a location that does not have a location and geofence setup in Grandd Central, an exception is created to alert administrators with this message.
