From the Findd app(s), employees can submit leave requests that will be deducted from their leave buckets (granted or accrued time). This guide will review how employees can submit leave requests from their iOS or Android device, from both Findd Engage and Findd Mobile (legacy app).
Please make sure the Findd app has been downloaded and the device has been registered. It's important to note that we recommend downloading the Findd Engage app, which is kept up to date with new product functionality. The Findd Mobile app no longer receives scheduled updates. Reach out to support@findd.io with any questions about transitioning to Findd Engage!
Mobile Device - Findd Engage app
Here's how to submit leave requests using the Findd Engage app:
1. Enter your employee PIN to log in. If you are using a personal mode device (individual mode), you will not need to enter a PIN. Then, tap the three dots on the menu at the bottom of the screen. From the list of options, tap "Leave Tracking."
2. On the Leave Tracking screen, you'll see two sections:
Leave Summary: This section displays a summary of all your leave requests, categorized by status: approved, pending, and denied.
Leave Requests: This section shows a list of all your submitted leave requests. You can filter this list by:
Start and end dates
Request status (approved, pending, or denied)
3. To create a New Leave Request, look at the bottom right corner of the Leave Tracking section, tap the blue "New Leave Request (+)" button.
4. Enter Leave Request Details:
Select an Accrual Bucket: The app will display the number of hours available within the selected accrual bucket.
Add a Title: Enter a title for your leave request.
Select Dates and Hours:
Choose the start and end dates for your leave.
Confirm the number of hours for each day of your leave.
Save: Tap "Save" to submit your request.
5. After saving, you'll see a "Leave Request Added Successfully" confirmation message. The Leave Tracking section will update to reflect your new request. Your newly submitted request will also be visible in the "Recent Requests" section.
Mobile Device - Findd Mobile app
1) Enter your employee PIN to log in. If you are using a personal mode device (individual mode), you will not need to enter a PIN. Then, open the side menu in the app and select Leave Tracking:
2) This section displays the status of your requests, including:
Approved Requests: Completed and authorized requests.
Hours Approved: The total approved hours for your requests.
Pending Approval: Requests awaiting authorization.
Denied Requests: Requests that were not approved.
Requests are organized by month. The current month is displayed by default, and you can navigate to previous or future months using the navigation controls.
View Time Information:
Tap the "View Available" button to see a breakdown of your time information. This includes:
Your total accrued time or Available Hours.
Your Beginning Balance.
The amount of hours currently Pending Approval.
3) To submit a leave request, tap the New Leave Request button and enter the following:
Title
Leave Request Type (Sick, PTO, Vacation etc.), this is the bucket the time will pull from
Start and End dates
Hours per day
Message (optional)
Once you have added this information, tap Submit.
4)After submitting a leave request, you can monitor its status on the "Leave Tracking" page:
Pending Approval: Your newly submitted request will initially show a "Pending Approval" status.
View Existing Requests: This section displays all your leave requests, including those that have been approved, are still pending, or have been denied.
