Learn how to quickly force a refresh or sync on your mobile devices in Grand Central. Our support team may recommend this step when investigating a mobile issue.
Step 1: Sync the Device (On the Findd App)
Our recommendation is to always ensure the device has stable connection and sync the app before proceeding with an INIT. Follow these simple steps:
Open the Findd app while the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network or mobile data.
Tap the menu icon (the three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.
Select "Sync Data."
Before you begin, it is crucial to sync the device first! The purpose of syncing is to ensure that all punches from the selected device(s) have been successfully uploaded to Grand Central. Re-initializing a device can lead to the loss of any un-synced punch data.
Step 2: Run the "Init Mobile" Process (In Grand Central)
Once you've confirmed that all punches are synced, you can run the Init Mobile process in your Grand Central account:
In your Grand Central Account, navigate to the "Devices" tab.
Select the device(s) you wish to re-initialize.
Click the "Init Mobile" icon on the top right of your screen. This icon will re-initialize the selected device(s) and force a refresh.
Confirm the action by pressing "OK" on the pop-up screen.

After the process is complete, the device will be fully refreshed with the latest information from Grand Central.
