Force Refresh/Sync on Mobile Devices

Learn how to quickly force a refresh or sync on your mobile devices in Grand Central. In this article, we'll walk you through finding the "Init Mobile" icon (short for Initialize/force sync) and show you its simple, four-step process.

To Initiate a Mobile Sync:

  1. In your Grand Central Account, navigate to the "Devices" tab.

  2. Select the device(s) you wish to sync.

  3. Click the "Init Mobile" icon on the top right of your screen. This will re-initialize the selected device(s) and force a refresh.

  4. Confirm the action by pressing "OK" on the pop-up screen.

    **Important Note: Before proceeding, confirm that all punches from the selected device(s) have been successfully uploaded to Grand Central. Re-initializing a device can lead to the loss of any un-synced punch data.
