Findd allows you to receive notifications by email, the Grandd Central "app", or through device push notifications on various things such as missing punches, exceptions, or schedule reminders.
There are two types of notifications you can set up; personal notifications and subscription notifications. Below is the difference between the two and how to set them up.
Personal Notifications
If you want to see notifications for yourself, such as missing punches, time off requests, or to get schedule reminders, you will set up personal notifications.
Note: Personal Notifications only apply to Employees and are not available to those who are only Account Users. Account Users who are also employees will have access to this type of notification through the "Is Employee" toggle in their Account User Profile.
Here is how to set up Personal Notifications:
1. Login to Grandd Central and select the drop-down arrow next to your name in the upper left corner.
2. Click the Notification Settings sub-tab.
3. Click the drop-down arrow on the tab Personal Notification Preferences, then select the yellow "+" button.
4. From there you can choose:
Notification Type
Schedule Reminder - Schedule changes
Missing In Punch - If you missed a punch in
Missing Out Punch - If you missed a punch out
Time Off - Leave Request status changes
Notification method
Email - sends a notification to the email registered to your account
Push - sends a notification to your mobile Findd app
App - sends a notification through Grandd Central, found in the upper right corner with the notification icon
Description - Optional, include a description of the notification
5. Click Save
Subscription Notifications
Subscription notifications are set up so that you can be notified of events for others, primarily your employees. There are many types of notifications that you can get, such as missing punches, no shift, location exceptions, and more.
Here is how to set up Subscription Notifications:
Login to Grandd Central and select the drop-down arrow next to the username in the upper left corner.
Open the Notification Settings sub-tab
Select the drop-down arrow in the Subscription Notifications tab and click the yellow "+" icon.
Notification Type
Missing Punch - an employee's punch set is not complete (missing an in or out punch).
Missing Employee Approval - the employee has at least one missing approval on their timecard.
Missing Supervisor Approval - a supervisor has not approved an employee's timecard
Biometric - the punch made by the employee has a low biometric score
Location - the punch was recorded outside of the location's geofence
Missing Punch In - an employee is missing a scheduled punch in on their timecard
*Early Punch In - an employee punched in early for their shift
*Late Punch In - an employee punched in late for their shift
*Early Out Punch - an employee left their shift earlier than scheduled
*Late Out Punch - an employee left their shift later than scheduled
**Missing Break - an employee missed a scheduled break
**Long Break - an employee went on a break, but the break time was longer than specified in the schedule/settings.
*No Shift - an employee has punched without a scheduled shift
Question Exception - if an employee selects a negative answer for punch questions
Time Off - When an employee submits/edits/or deletes a time off request
Punch Note - When an employee sends a note from the mobile app
* Scheduling needs to be set up for this notification
** Breaks need to be set up for this notification
Notify Method
Email - sends a notification to the email registered to your account
Push - sends a notification to your mobile Findd app
App - sends a notification through Grandd Central, found in the upper right corner with the notification icon
Description - give the notification subscription some notes for reference later
Hierarchy - select a hierarchy for the notifications to apply for
Include Child Hierarchies - If you want to include the hierarchies and jobs below the hierarchy you selected above
Direct Report Only - If you only want to see notifications for the employees that report to you
If you want to see what employees report to you, go to the Employees tab and click on the toggle "Show Direct Reports Only" (shown below)
5. Click Save
