Setting up Personal Notifications and Notification Subscriptions.

Findd allows you to receive notifications about important events like missing punches, exceptions, and schedule changes. You can get these alerts via email, the Grandd Central "App" (in-platform notifications), or mobile push notifications.

There are two main types of notifications:

  • Personal Notifications: For alerts that apply to you.

  • Subscription Notifications: For alerts about others, typically your employees.

Here's how to set them up:


Personal Notifications

Set these up to receive alerts about your activities, such as missing punches, time off requests, or schedule reminders.

Note: Personal Notifications are only for employees. Account Users who are also employees can access this feature via the "Will this user need to track time?" toggle in their profile.


Setting Up Personal Notifications:

  1. Login to Grandd Central and select the drop-down arrow next to your name in the upper left corner.

  2. Click the Notification Settings sub-tab.

  3. Click the drop-down arrow on the tab Personal Notification Preferences, then select the blue "+" button.

4. From there, you can choose:

  • Notification Type

    • Schedule Reminder: Schedule changes

    • Missing In Punch: If you missed a punch in

    • Missing Out Punch: If you missed a punch out

    • Time Off: Leave Request status changes

  • Notification Method

    • Email: Sends a notification to the email registered to your account

    • Push: Sends a notification to your mobile Findd app

    • App: Sends a notification through Grandd Central, found in the upper right corner with the notification icon

  • Description: Optional, include a description of the notification

5. Click Save

Subscription Notifications

Set these up to monitor events related to your employees, such as various punch issues, exceptions, or time off requests.

Setting Up Subscription Notifications:

  1. Login to Grandd Central and select the drop-down arrow next to the username in the upper left corner.

  2. Open the Notification Settings sub-tab

  3. Select the drop-down arrow in the Subscription Notifications tab and click the blue "+" icon.

4. Fill out the pop-up screen with the following:

  • Notification Type

    • Select the specific event you want to be notified about. (e.g., Missing Punch, Biometric, Location, No Shift, Missing Employee Approval, Question Exception, Time Off, Punch Note, and Missing Supervisor Approval).

    • Scheduling-related notifications (e.g., Early/Late Punch In/Out, Missing Punch In) require scheduling to be set up.

    • Break-related notifications (e.g., Missing Break, Long Break) require break settings to be configured.

  • Notify Method: Email, Push, or App

  • Description: Give the notification subscription some notes for later reference

  • Hierarchy: Select a hierarchy for the notifications to apply to

    • Include Child Hierarchies: must be on to receive notifications for hierarchies BELOW your selected Hierarchy.

  • Direct Report Only:

    • If you want to see what employees report to you, go to the Employees tab and click on the toggle "Show Direct Reports Only" (shown below)

5. Click Save
