Setting the Geofence Perimeters of your jobs and/or hierarchies is the primary step in recording punch locations and exceptions. Depending on your organization's setup, there are two ways to do this.

Hierarchy Locations

Note! This is only used for accounts that punch directly to the hierarchy and do not utilize our Jobs module. This is an uncommon case. If you do not use Jobs and would like to migrate, please reach out to support@findd.io.

Go to the Account tab and click on Hierarchy Definitions. Ensure your Hierarchy Settings for your desired level allow GPS Locations and Punches.

After adjusting those settings, use the selector at the top right to select the correct location in your hierarchy.

Once you have chosen the right location, you can specify the locations for your hierarchy sub-level. Go to the Hierarchy tab on the left and select "Locations."

In this screen, you can select the timezone and physical location for your job. You can search for the address using the search bar, click on the location on the map, or enter the coordinates if available. After that, you can select the Geofence Perimeter size that will determine the size of your location.

It's all done! Make sure to enable "Location Exception" if you want Exceptions created when punches are registered outside of your set Geofence.

Job Locations

To view the available jobs, click on the "Jobs" tab on the left side of your screen.

Use the hierarchy selector at the top right corner to choose the correct location. All the jobs for that location will be listed.

Click on the job you want to set the location for, and the job details will appear on the screen.

Click on the "Location" tab.

In this screen, you can select the physical location for your job. You can search for the address using the search bar, click on the location on the map, or enter the coordinates if available. After that, you can select the Geofence Perimeter size that will determine the size of your location.

Make sure to enable "Location Exception" if you want Exceptions created when punches are registered outside of your set Geofence.
