How to Change Location and Geofence
You may want to edit the location or the geofence for a hierarchy item. Editing a location and creating a geofence are both important when it comes to tracking where employees punch in or out.
First, if you’re logged in as a user in the Account level in the hierarchy, click on the arrow next to your Account in the upper right corner of your screen.
2. A window will appear, navigate to the Hierarchy that you would like to edit.
3. Navigate to Hierarchy > Location
4. To edit the location there are three options:
- Enter an address
- Enter the Latitude and Longitude coordinates
- Navigate to the location via the map and select the location
5. Once the location has been set, you have the option to set a geofence perimeter. Employees that punch in or punch out anywhere outside of the geofence will be flagged for administrative review.
6. Select the time zone that the new location is in. This is very important to the accuracy of the time cards.
Note: Changes are saved automatically as you make them.
