Importing Data into Findd via CSV File
Entering large amounts of data into Findd manually can be time-consuming. To simplify this process, Findd allows you to import data directly using a CSV file. This method is ideal for quickly adding or updating employee information, expenses, punches, job data, and schedule data.
Who Can Import Data?
To import data, you must log in with a user account assigned the Findd Administrator role.
Step-by-Step Guide to Importing Data
Follow these steps to successfully import your data into Findd:
Navigate to the Import CSV Section:
Select Data Type for Import:
Download and Prepare the Example File:
After selecting the data type, you'll be show a table for column header reference.
Note: not all import types include an example file inside of Grandd Central, so example templates for each import type will be included at the bottom of this article.
Use this table reference as a template to format your data correctly. It contains the necessary columns and formatting to ensure a smooth import.

Important Considerations for Import
Required Columns: Ensure all required columns are filled out in your CSV file. If essential information is missing, the system will not complete the import and will provide you with a list of items that need to be completed.
Data Accuracy: Double-check your data for accuracy before importing to avoid errors in your Findd system.
You can find Hierarchy ID in the 'Cost Center' field. Select the desired hierarchy, then traverse to the hierarchy details under: Hierarchy > Details > 'Cost Center'
Position ID can be found under: Account > Positions > (Select desired position) > 'Cost Center'
