Account Permissions allows you to customize user access to specific aspects of Grand Central. You must first create a user role to edit the permissions within it.

This article will describe the permissions available for users to access.

View and Edit Permissions

  1. Navigate to the "Account" tab on the left-hand profile menu, click on the sub-tab Users within the User tab, and select Roles.

  2. Select the role you wish to edit. Again, make sure you have created a user role.


Account Permissions List

  1. Account

    1. All Permissions – All settings are given to the user (default).

    2. Account Admin - Permission to view and access the Account tab within Grandd Central.

    3. View Full Hierarchy – Permission to view all levels of the Hierarchy definition, regardless of their assigned level.

    4. Edit Hierarchy – This permission allows the user to view and update the hierarchy.

  2. Import CSV File

    1. Punch Data - allow punch data to be uploaded through a CSV file

    2. Expense Time Data - allow expense time data to be uploaded through a CSV file

    3. Expense Amount Data - allow expense amount data to be uploaded through a CSV file

  3. Employees

    1. Allow Self Emp Edit - permission for employees with that permission to self edit their profiles, timecards, etc.

    2. View Employees – Permission to view employees within the hierarchy permission that has been set in the "account" section of this guide.

    3. Edit Employees – Permission to edit details of employees (Employee ID, Clock Pin, Name, etc.).

    4. Add Employees – Permission to add new employees into the Findd system.

    5. Delete Employees – Permission to delete employees from the Findd system.

    6. View All Employees (Non-Direct Reports) - Permission to view all employees in the account, not just their direct reports

    7. Edit Custom Employee Fields - permission to edit custom employee fields on employee profiles

  4. Punch Records

    1. View Records – Permission to view the All Records tab in Grandd Central. User can view exceptions but does not have the power to accept or reject them.

    2. Edit Exceptions – Permission to accept or reject exceptions.

    3. Edit Suspense Punch - Permission to edit/accept/reject suspense punches

    4. Global Punch Add - Permission to do a global punch add for employees (mass add for a single employee or multiple employees)

    5. Global Punch Edit - Permission to do a global punch edit on existing punches (mass edit for a single employee or multiple employees)

  5. Timecards

    1. View Timecards – Permission to view employee timecards within the hierarchy permission that has been set in the "account" section of this guide.

    2. Edit Timecards – Permission to edit timecards of the employees (delete/add punches and change punch times)

    3. Approve Timecards – Permission to approve employee timecard hours (must be done before payroll can be processed).

  6. Payroll

    1. View Payroll – Permission to view the Payroll tab within Grandd Central.

    2. Lock Payroll - Permission to lock down the payroll hierarchy in the Payroll tab to include no additional time in the payroll period.

    3. Close Payroll - Permission to close out payroll

    4. Export Payroll - Permission to export payroll in the Payroll tab.

  7. Devices - This section is divided into three main sections.

    1. View, Edit, Add, Delete All Devices – Permission to view, edit, add and delete all devices.

    2. View, Edit, Add, Delete Employee Devices - Permission to view, edit, add and delete employee devices

    3. View, Edit, Add, Delete Hierarchy Devices - Permission to view edit, add, and delete hierarchy devices

  8. Accrual - This section is divided into two main sections.

    1. View, Edit, Add, and Delete Accrual– Permission to view, edit, add and delete any accruals in Grandd Central.

    2. View, Edit, Add and Delete Employee Accrual - Permission to view, edit, add and delete accruals on employee profiles.

  9. Leave Tracking - This section is divided into two main sections

    1. View, Edit, Add, Delete Leave Tracking– Permission to view, edit, add, and delete any leave tracking in Grandd Central.

    2. View, Edit, Add, Delete Employee Leave Tracking– Permission to view, edit, add, and delete leave tracking in employee profiles in Grandd Central.

  10. Expense

    1. View Employee Expense - Permission to view employees' expenses

    2. Edit Employee Expense - Permission to edit employees' expenses

    3. Add Employee Expense - Permission to add employees' expenses

    4. Delete Employee Expense - Permission to delete employees' expenses

    5. Approve Employee Expense - Permission to approve employees' expense

  11. Jobs

    1. View Jobs - Permission to view jobs

    2. Add Jobs - Permission to add jobs

    3. Edit Jobs - Permission to edit jobs

    4. Delete Jobs - Permission to delete jobs

    5. Edit Jobs Custom Fields - Permission to edit the jobs custom fields

    6. Allow Client Selection Edit - Permission to select a client for the applicable job

  12. Clients

    1. View Clients - Permission to view clients

    2. Add Clients - Permission to add clients

    3. Edit Clients - Permission to edit clients

    4. Delete Clients - Permission to delete clients

    5. Edit Custom Client Fields - Permission to make edits in the custom client fields
